Still no replies to my adds.   Couldn't make it to get him scanned today.  Will try tomorrow.

nope.  no chip.  still no responses to my ads.  so looks like he's gonna stay with us. he's already used to his new name.  we took him to the park and he retieves from the water like a champ.  I also introduced him to birds. and he's retrieving pigeons for me.
