Thanks ... I try to make it informational and fun for everybody.  Congrats to you and JB for 1st and 2nd in the adult calling contest too!  I should have signed up, introduced my self as a caller number "?", called, and then thanked myself as caller number "?" ... but just as much fun being the MC.   Think next time we'll make the time just 1 minute though ....

Good luck during the spring season ...  nice talking to both you and JB ....

Come on man you can tell them what happened .... :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: I do not mind getting beat at something but with your own call  :yike: guess I should not lend out my stuff next time ....LMAO !!!  It was good seeing you and AL and your wife again ,,,It was a good time and AL did a hell of a job with his seminar ...they should really appreciate his knowledge and giving his time to help out .... we made some people laugh with thge turkey calling ..including ourselves ...What was really funny to me was when that guy took that box and used it to gobble after I showed him how  :dunno: :chuckle: think he ran and bought a new box call  :dunno:  yeah we need to do this type of stuff more often ... :yeah:

Sorry I had to borrow your call since I had really not planned on doing the calling contest. I was actually nervous as heck but had lots of fun. It was great to see ya again and chatting with ya all. Time to break the mouth call out and get familar with it. I talked to a couple guys after the seminar and said they had learned a lot Al good job!

The attempt at the box call "gobble" turned off two of the judges ... hhhhmmmm.

Thanks again for the seminar kudos ... just trying to get them the info they need to be successful ... learned it from all the lessons the gobblers gave me.

Good luck out there guys ...

Wasn't sure I was going to make it out this year, but Congress passed the Continuing Resolution  So even though my buddies bailled, I will be back in the Davenport area on 600+ acres of private with a few hundred Rios for the first time in 3 years (last time was with son Nic before he got sick).  Getting excited .... :whoo:

Same to you guys. Yea the weather except for today is getting me revved up. Cottonwood blooming gives off that sweet smell of turkey season. Seems a little earlier than last couple years. Hoping that means lots of hens are already laying numbers 10 and 12 for their clutch. Are we scouted, one farm at that time always has about 200 in a flock. This year only about 30 with 2 toms. I think since those 200 were there this winter, meant the flock has broken out of winter and out roaming about. I hear they're looking for me. I think I'll let'em find me too! Callie is chomping at the bit to get after them.

Yeah not too much ;) am working on getting on a 300ac peice in Colville where the ownernis sick of stepping in turkey poo. Wish that spring weather would return.
Trying to convince her into a new shotgun. I'll keep working her. This time for sure it will be Her's and Her's alone. Scout's honor.
