Photo of the Month for March: Birds of Prey
« on: March 01, 2013, 11:13:46 AM »
One of my favorite topics! :) I can't wait to see all of the entries we get this month! :)

The Photo of the month Rules are:
1. Photos must be No Larger than 800 X 600 or 600 X 800 depending on Orientation.
2. Photos must be taken by the entrant
3. No Photo Manipulation is allowed except for Normal Editing, cropping, sharpening etc. Please do not enter HDR   photos because they will be disqualified!
4. Photo Must Pertain to the Current Months Theme.
5. Photo Must be taken within the last calendar year.
6. Only One Entry per month. So make sure your entry is the one you want! The First Photo you enter Will be Considered your entry!
7. Winner of this month's contest is not eligible for the next month's contest
8. Photos entered in previous months contests are not eligible for any other months contests.
9. Washington state photo subjects will be given preferences in case of a tie for judging.
10. Winning Photos will be posted on the Front Page
11. Monthly Photo Winners will be automatically entered into the Photo of the Year contest
12.  Moderators May Enter any Contest because the Members of this site Will Pick the Winner!
13 Entry Deadline is Midnight of The Last Day of the Month!

14. The Winner of the contest shall be responsible to email Bearpaw your shipping information to receive your prize!

Please Note the following New Rule!

15. January 1, 2013, we will No Longer go through the entries and Re-size photos that do not follow the Contest Rules about Photo size! The only time we will do so is if it is requested by the entrant because they do not know how to do so on their own. That request must be posted in the entry or requested by either a PM or an email. It is Unfair to the members that follow the size rules for us to continue re-sizing on our own. So from now on, if the photo is too big and we have not been asked for help the photo will be Disqualified!

danderson, if the topic "birds of prey" means birds plural, you're going to win, that's pretty neat.  I've made it to AK twice and never grew tired of seeing Bald Eagles even though they were everywhere.

denali, that is one cool picture.  I like your caption too.

First thing that came to my mind was, "There goes the neighborhood ;)"  Too bad it wasn't a bald eagle.  Then I would have thought, "Time to pay your property taxes!"
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
