Well, if there's a market for this, then someone will start new magazines and hunting shows/channels.  They're not preventing that from happening.  They're throwing their money down the drain really, creating a shortage of a product which others will move in and fill.

  let them waste their money so that they will have less to fight us with. We are not who we are because of magazines. Those people that lose their job will probably start a new magazine. So basically this is a net positive for our fight.

New magazine startups have a huge failure rate.  I think it's over 90% don't make two years.  Gutting the few successful magazines and outdoor programming will not be replaced easily.
Subscriber lists would be a good place to start for search & seizure gun grabs.

I believe the printed magazine is on the way out. 
I get much better information on sites like this than any printed material.
Ya get new &  faster info and theres new stuff everyday, not just 12 times a year.
Tougher for the libs to buy out something like this site.
