flextone calls
« on: March 02, 2013, 10:01:46 PM »
Just picked up two new calls I wasn't too sure of but figured I would give them a shot. Picked up the flextone thunder cut'n and the thunder cluck n purr.  I am wondering if anyone could share some advise on using this style of call. It seems like I am needing to blow a lot more air through this style of call than any other game call I have used. What am I doing wrong?

Did you try looking on YouTube for pointers on using these calls?

Just picked up the Thunder Cut'n. I noticed it is alot easier to make the call sound realistic if you fill your cheeks up with air and hit it with a short burst of air. I tried using it like a duck call and it does take alot of air and it is hard to control the sound. Hope this helps. Let me know!

Call seems to sounds really "raspy" is that a good or bad thing?

I tried the calls for a little while longer and decided I still didn't like them.  I sent mine back and got some new mouth calls instead.  The sound was too raspy and the amount of air required to produce good sounds was what turned me off of these.
