actually....I looked again, the bills orange on that dump truck bird like a common but more the body color of a hoody...kinda weird
well it's a weird merganser hybrid :chuckle: dumb birds

im just shuddering thinking of the stench! bleeeh, stinkiest ugliest birds!! I kinda like that mount though! just glad I didnt have to be the one to mount it!!!!

Here's a Mandarin from the Chehalis R about 8 years ago, it was hanging with some Wood ducks.

I wish i had a camera on me but this year a way a hen mallard on the skagit flats that was almost white.

Its a Henweigh.....................very rare for Washington.

Its a Henweigh.....................very rare for Washington.

saw a hen wigeon like that! the white mallard hens are called Blondes....but idk about a white wigeon because Ive never heard of it!

Unfortunately, it flushed while my "buddy" was picking up some teal so I let it fly down the river.  I thought it was just another woody and he had never shot one so I figured we'd float down river and get a chance at it, we did.  As far as I know, it's still in his freezer and he's even a taxidermist.   :bash:

You're welcome for that mandarin.  I lived near the chehalis and use to raise a ton of those.  Had a bunch get out of my pen back then.  Whacked a few of them myself.  Still waiting to hear the guy who shoots a drake ringed teal or a Russian Baikal.  The Baikal was spendy.   :(
