What a great time! Really cool to meet up with everyone & put names to faces. The food was phenomenal

Huge props to Fishstiq for hosting the event & I'm already looking forward to next years turn out  ;)

P.S.  glad I didn't have to pull out the med kit even with those keg tosses & wild flying horseshoes  :chuckle:

Thanks Fishstiq, for hosting this!  One thing we found out for sure.  Smossy and D-Rock are not a dominate team to any extent when it comes to horseshoes.  I hope they shoot their bows better than they toss shoes.   The keg toss was interesting, no one got hurt.  Fishseeker had a gold panning station set up.  I heard there was some color found in the material he brought to pan.  Food was off the hook.  Everyone that contributed brought their "A" game when it comes to the food.  Bearmaniac brought his calls and was showing everyone them plus doing demonstrations.  I think my apple pie was a liked.  It seemed to get all drank up while I was tossing shoes at the pit.

Not sure what else to say.  When I left Fishtiq was down on the couch.  He may still be there...

Eat some pancakes, food on your stomach will help.   Are you the only one hurting this morning?

Thanks again Fishtiq! I had a great time meeting and hanging out with a bunch of the Hunt-Wa regulars! The food was great, the venue was great and everyone was in good spirits! Can't wait to do it again!

...and yeah, my head hurts bit today...

Ah good times. Me telling Smossy to screw off.....I'm not wearing a nametag then finding out later that I had one on my back for the three hours. Well done. Goldeneye pulling out his bottle of hooch....me being smart and having a tiny sip. Bravo for me with the occasional good decision. Speaking of Goldeneye...thanks for the ride home. That worked out great and I appreciate it. I managed to shoot D-Rocks bow...even if is a jr size...The food was great...plenty for everyone. Like Lokidog said...the raccoon sloppy joe was not good...nor was it really that bad. Bwana Bob...killer 'lope kabobs. Joe and his wife of course did a great job hosting and we all thank you for having us. Lets see...the keg toss went well. Deke did a good job with combining grace and form with a low center of gravity and was hands down the king of the toss. I gave it a solid throw but wasn't in the running. Jenny and every else that I'll forget your names it was cool to meet you guys. Always good to see Russ, Carl, and a few others I've met before. The gold panning was neat. Granted I didn't find any gold or strike it rich and have a fairly awkward voice mail to explain to my boss and where I may have told him to go in anticipation of getting rich. Yes, I too woke with just a twinge. The beer, thanks to myself for bringing it, was very good and I had my fair share. However, a little time at the archery range this morning cleared things right up.

So, Joe.....have we set a date for next year? Same time same place?

Thanks for breakfast and good conversations fishstiq, we appreciate the hospitality. H2o thanks for the goodies and sharing your mighty fine growlers. You rock buddy. Ill have to get u back when i stick a bear this year. Elk247 coo to finally meet you an your good peoples, thanks for the goodies from you also. Well have to meet up again soon. To the gentlemen who gave me the elk shed, shoot me a message if you read this. I was a tad inebriated and don't remember what your name was, we had a good conversation. Radsav, thanks for making it out and bringin the angry squaw  didn't think you would make it out to enjoy your own BBQ donation, we appreciate it and the food was delicious. Its always a pleasure chatting with you and getting to pick your brain for information. Thanks to walamudeer? I think for cooking the BBQ, again the food was great. Thanks to D-rock for showing up and making me not feel like the smallest guy there anymore :chuckle: also for busting one of my arrows and being my partner in our amazingly professional game of horse shoes that we totally rocked at, not sure what everyone else is talking about :dunno: Thanks to Goldeneye for being such a cool guy and letting us all sample your apple pie shinnee, it was real tasty - you would have won if anyone else would have brought any for sure.. and thanks to everyone else I didn't get to meet for keeping everything fairly civilized it was all in all a perfect BBQ get-together.

Awesome turnout, and thanks everyone for being such a great crowd!

When I woke up this morning, I was dreading the cleanup that I was gonna have ahead of me.  What a great feeling seeing there was almost no cleaning up to do!  The place looked great, no trash anywhere, garbages had been taken care of....  all that was left was bagging up some leftovers!  You guys are absolutely awesome!

It was really cool getting to put some faces to names, sorry I won't remember everyone I'm terrible with names.  The gold panning was really cool, and oh man was that a ton of good food!  I'll probably be replacing divits in my yard for 2 weeks though after Smossy and D-rock's horseshoe trainwreck.   :chuckle:  Oh, and you folks raise some GREAT kids!  They were all so well behaved and polite, you parents are doing a great job.  Rick, the calling was really cool, thanks for showing some of us!  Lokidog, you were right about the raccoon, but that doesn't mean I'm eating it again  :chuckle:

It was a pleasure to have you all.  This board has a great collection of folks.  April and I are just hugely impressed with the generosity and helpfulness of all of you.  From folks that brought awnings and tables, Ken and all his shade umbrellas and benches, to the folks that brought all that great food (wamuledeer you knocked it out of the park!), kebabs, duck jerky, banana cake, apple crisp, to the folks that cleaned up, took out garbages, did recycle stuff, we just want to say a huge THANK YOU ALL!!!  You guys and gals are just an awesome, quality group of fun people to be around , and we are both thankful to associate with you all!

Those of you who took pics, please post 'em up!

Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or left anything out, I'm still kinda piecing together parts of it  :chuckle:

Having said all that, I just wanna be clear:  There is NO WAY we are hosting again next year.

 :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

See you all then.

Thanks for hosting fishtiq. You have a great place and the perfect location for an event like this. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but I hope there was enough BBQ to go around after I left.

Just got home, what a long, hot day.  Thanks Fishstiq, wish I had thought to pull the phone/camera out when you were "sleeping" on the couch....   :chuckle:

Great food by everyone.  The Sloppy Joe racoon must have been decent as there was only about one sandwich worth left for the dog to eat.

Thanks everyone for allowing Amber to visit and play.
