Thanks Joe &  April for hosting such a great BBQ. My girlfriend and I had a great time eating and meeting the HW members. Way too much good food.

Poor little guy......

Joe.....please tell me we are doing this again next year......actually....we may just show up regardless!

We need to come up with a few more events for us skilled athletes.  Shoes and a kegs toss fit in the wheel house well.  What else can we come up with?

A safety note for next year.  We may want to wear shin guards when tossing shoes opposite Smossy.  He has a tendency to get a little strong on his throws and next thing you know you have incoming.  I had to jump out of the way of a few of his tosses.  He even gave overhand throwing of the shoes a try.   :bdid:

I think shin guards for the keg toss as well... I remember someone smacking themselves with the keg haha.

That was Elk247.  He needs more technique work.  Your not supposed to hit yourself when your trying to throw something.  Unless your wanting to be a Darwin candidate, that is.

I can't dis him too much, he was a great horseshoe partner when we put the smack-down on Smossy and D-Rock.

Ya, that particular technique failed. I have a better more of a risk/reward techniqe in mind for next time. Think wild semi controlled spinning hammer throw style. Fishstiq you have a pm incoming.

One of my favorite moments last night was watching Smossy trying to open a bottle of wine.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Haha! I forgot about that...  :chuckle: :chuckle:
All I remember is that bottle should not have been that hard to open WITH a cork puller. :bash:

Here you go.

That's the easy way. Ever used a shoe? . Seriously, last summer had to u tube how to open a bottle because i forgot the corkscrew on a camping trip with the girlfriend. A Nike and a tree worked fine but it took a few tries. Put the base of the bottle in the shoe then slam it repeatedly against the tree until the hydraulic pressure forces the cork about half way out. Finish pulling the cork with your teeth for style points and to really impress your lady.

Lol it was mine.. and we're both guilty since weathergirl had to open up the first bottle for me! (thank you lol)

...and no he refused to drink it  :chuckle: but who knows after a few beers WHAT he ended up drinkin.

We're obviously amateurs at drinking - him with his bud light, and me with my un-openable bottles of wine.
