snake skin rod.
« on: March 04, 2013, 02:46:55 PM »
so this past january i decided to get into rod building and its becoming very addictive. :chuckle: my first few rods were not picture worthy but i feel like im getting there now. the only thing im not really happy about are my epoxy lines on this rod, but this has got to be the most difficult thing about rod building for me. this is a 1263c spiral wrapped float rod with tanned snake skin inlays. overall i am pleased (not happy)with how it turned out but with things like this im kind of a perfectionist. this is my 4th rod and i have come a long ways since the first. :chuckle:

Thanks guys. I should add the epoxy lines look like that of a factory rod not a custom built rod. Not necessarily bad, just bugs me.  :chuckle:

I would support your hobby and buy one of those things if the price is right. How much does it cost you to make one, or how much would you want to part with one?
You can pm me
