Broken, Cracked, Damaged arrow shafts...What do you do with yours?

Have a few arrow shafts of assorted lengths that have cracks along where the nock feeds in and or near where the broadhead seats...
Are there any known way to make repairs or get use out of these? Or do you guys just toss them into the trash? Being as Im working on limited funds id hate to just trash them but dont want carbon splitting off into my face

Chop them down then put them with my son's little compound. Or...chop them down and donate them to any archery program you can find.

Same as H2O. I cut them down with my saw, rebuild and used to give to my kids. Now that mine shoot normal length arrows, I give them away to other younger kids. I keep a bunch in my quiver for 3-d's and when i see a youngster who only has a few arrows I ask his parents if it would be OK to donate to his/her cause.

Thatx nice of you guys. I have a mini cobra 50lb crossbow. Should i just chop them down for that? And if so what length should i chop them down to... the length of the shaft receiver or maybe a few inches more? Also lol. What tools work best for cutting carbon.. i have a dremel.

I have heard of people using a dremel with the fiber cutoff wheel.  I'm guessing that the cross bow is one of those that does not have cams like a compound bow? if so you could cut them down for that. IMO.

Yeah, there are no cams. Its a single string recurve mini crossbow.

Ooh i like that idea. The worst one is cracked on both sides so its for sure trash. But the others are mostly hairline stress fractures where the nocks insert.
