Broken, Cracked, Damaged arrow shafts...What do you do with yours?

Here's my dremel based arrow cut-off saw.  Once your nocks start getting loose or when you can see a crack, then you've got enough cracks in the shaft to cut it down for kids or throw it out.  Arrows are cheap compared to trying to get carbon out of your hand.  Put a drill bit a couple sizes smaller than the inner diameter of the shaft and swing it like a fly swatter to knock the insert out to cut that end down.  Be careful: it will be like a bullet when it finally comes out.

Always flex and roll the arrows between your fingers listening for creaks or grinding noises.  If you hear anything, then just break that arrow over your knee right then.  There are no OK cracks in the middle of an arrow.

Cut them down into four inch lengths, deburr well, ultra sonic clean and then sell them to your cocaine addict friends.   About the only thing broken arrows are good for.  That or staking up your tomato starts.

Lol clever but i dont know a single soul anymore that does drugs. I gave up those people.

Why go thru all that trouble. I would personally rather they snort up carbon glass slivers.

Yeah, but first of all most of them will probably be relatives of the angry squaw.   Second, the "Slip and Fall" lawyers don't care if their clients are drug users, drug dealers or complete drains on society.

We use the other option around here.  Peas, tomatoes, green beans...they all start with an old arrow for support.  I think the bright fletching gives them encouragement to reach the top

I used to chase my Dad around the house smacking him with them...... Then he bought a wooden dowel and I wised up quick  . Now they just collect up and get in the way so I toss them.

I did the antenna decorator.  The first hunting trip out it snagged a branch and took my whole antenna off....
