I bought on last year for my AK Moose hunt and loved it.  I loaded it up with 65lbs of gear and hiked 3 miles back to the homestead after the flost plane ride.  It felt like 40 lbs.  I got mine for a steal online for $300 new.  I've got a 8 miles 4500 foot elevation gain hike coming up this summer, so it will give me a better idea on longer hikes.  I also like the gun scabbard on the side.  It is very easy to take your gun on and off with the pack on.  I like how there are a ton of pocks for organization because I am anal about getting to things when I want them and not having to dig through things.  I also liked the pack rain fly which kept my stuff bone dry through a major downpoor AK style.  It is very light compared to the eberlestock I had before, plus it is way easier to organize.

as deadyote mentioned it's lighter than the eberlestock...but maybe at a price of durability?

Horrible pack. Had the shoulder pack rip off while packing out a bear.  Buckles break easily.  Fabric rips. I have nothing good to say.

I had the shoulder strap rip off mine hauling out a load of elk. I still need to send it away to get fixed/ replaced. When I get it replaced I will either sell it or just use it for backpack trips not for hunting.

I'm also interested in this pack, my question to those with shoulder strap issues is how heavy of a load where you carrying? Seems to me if its overloaded then its bound to fail. However if it is unable to sustain rated and design loads then i could see the drawback of the pack. Either way shoulder straps ripping are a definite drawback. :dunno:
NO! You may not drive my truck.

My mommy says im durable.

overloaded? you shouldnt be able to say that with a hunting pack... why else would you take an extra 5lbs of pack weight over a regualr backpacking pack. your hunting pack should be able to haul more than you can, period. and be no worse for wear...

Not a very good pack, unless you want a noisy pack that is comfortable to a 50 lb load max (I've never personally owned one just going off of opinions and reviews of hunters that bought it and had it fail).

 :yeah:

The 6 or 7 negative replies in this thread alone with what seems like repetitive failures are enough to blow any thought I had of one out the window.
