It keeps getting earlier every year for some dumb reason.

The latest it starts is the 8th and it goes down one day at a time to the 3rd or 2nd (depending on where leap year falls), and then starts on the 8th again.

Floating,
I prefer it starting on a weekday. This gives the serious bowhunters more quality time in the bush before the weekenders arrive.

The only way to get this done is flood the dept with letters, emails and phone calls... and show up at public input meetings and tell them what you want and why.  Not much changes will happen until the next 3 year season setting process, but small changes can and do happen in between.  Get what you want to your respective groups Game Management Advisory Council (GMAC) member to also "grease" the skids.... If you are a WSB, WSAA or TBW member you should know who they are or who sits on the Coalition fr you.  If not feel free to shoot me a PM.... I am the GMAC Alternate for the WSAA

I voted for the 8th to the 21st.  So many factors from weather to elk behavior to season length...
