Bear hunting help please!
« on: March 05, 2013, 06:47:36 PM »
Hi. I am in the Navy, home ported in Whidbey, and am currently deployed to the middle east. I wont be back until the mid to late summertime frame so I wont have much of a chance to scout. I Don't have a lot of bear hunting experience so I'm not looking to go alone. I was hoping to maybe find someone big into it or someone that knows a reasonably priced guide service.  I'm almost 30. I have been hunting since I could walk and carried a gun/license since I was 12. This season is probably going to be my only chance for quite some time that I will be able to get a bear so I want to maximize my chances. I'm not just looking for something nice to put on the wall. I plan on using the meat as well as anything else that could be rationally used.

Any suggestions?

Send me a pm also.  I hunt hard around here but have not connected yet.  I know where some are and have seen a few, but not worked out yet.  I'll help or hunt with you.
  Thanks for your service.
