Trident/turkey foot buck
« on: March 06, 2013, 11:12:32 AM »
I found this shed last fall next to a well used fourwheeler trail.  Its had been there for at least a decade.  Nine total points and lots of character.  Kind of looks like a limp turkey foot  with the threeway browtine.  How someone didnt notice it Ill never know, Id love to see what the other side looked like.

Ive got horns hanging on the barn that have been there 20 years, they dont have the splitting and wear that this one does.  I cleaned it up quit a bit too.

my guess would be maybe 4 years old. ive found sheds that were even more cracked than that and had been sitting only a couple years. the reason i know is because i watched the bucks.

It was buried.  Ive been searching that area for a few years, and found some from deer I remember.  I have one I know that is 5 years laying from close to the same spot, and not half the wear.   :dunno:  Its really all speculation, but I do have a little bit to go off.   :dunno:  It was covered by many years of forest duff, nay for the browtine.
