25 auto?
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:38:00 PM »
most of the 25 autos are on sale for $150 to $250.  upon reading the google stuff on the 25, claims are made that most should be for $50 to $75, which is what i just bought a titan for.  enlighten me.  are the sellers greedy in selling cheap guns for  too much or are there any 25's that are more than $100.  be honest.    mike w

I think beretta made some .25 auto pocket/lady's guns that are worth the price or more.  Really depends on mfg, most of the .25 autos I've ever used (or tried to) I would only pay $5 for.

  Sums it up well IMO

The Walther M8 and M9 are quite collectable and I'd expect if you found one in good shape they would go for six Benjamins or more.  And even though I think the 25 is completely worthless an auto loading gun isn't a cheap thing to make.  At skilled labor even as low as $20 an hour, add materials, add insurance, add plating, add heat treating, overhead, etc...a gun in good shape is worth far more than $75.00.  I think the claim that they should only be worth $50-75.00 has more to do with the worthlessness of the round and not the value of the gun.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
