We had baseball, and mothers day today, so didn't make it out. Took some pretty cool pictures of a grouse yesturday.

The bears were moving around pretty good today. I had one below me in a blow down draw. I think he did me a favor by not showing his face :chuckle: Another Monroe permit holder that I talked to had what she believes was 3 diferent bears in the repod that didn't come out also. This 15 yr old girl is quite the hunter. She has a couple deer, and a 300#+ bear already. :tup:

Yeah it was nice meeting you guys.  It was nice to finally get out there and start scoping out the area.  I'm a little pissed that I haven't been able to do this permit justice due to work and my truck tranny being out but I'm gonna stay positive and try to get out there as much as I can now.  I found a few nice spots that I'll focus on next time I'm out.

Made it out today again up behind Lake Roesinger, nice evening, at about 5:30 when we were heading to another area to hunt, came around a corner and caught a small bear in the road (maybe 60-70 lbs), didn't have a lot of time for a shot, but even if I did I don't think I would of.  Other than that, a few poo piles, but nothing much else. 

Anyone else seeing much in Monroe?  I just saw the one turners son shot, Congrats!  My 13 year old about jumped out of his seat today when we saw this one.

Down to a couple of weeks left!

I was out most of the day. it was a very slow day. I heard one at the end of the night....about 8:30. H20hunter, and another spring tag holder had similar luck. I will be back out tomorrow for most the day untill Errett's baseball game at 4:00. I hope your son gets his bear Bigelk. If you guys head out this direction I can give you a few spots to check out.

I'm planning on heading up there this weekend.  I unfortunately had to work the entire Memorial Day weekend and am looking forward to getting out there again.

I was out tonight, rained really hard, but saw some great area. I plan to hunt as much as possible this weekend.
