Scat II
« on: September 28, 2008, 09:16:14 PM »

Here's a couple interesting freshies from my trip last week to Idaho....

Never seen wolf scat, but assume that's pic one.  Or maybe it's bigfoot...  :)  Lots of deer and/or elk hair, and bigger than any dog poo I've ever seen.

Pic two was in the middle of the highway, a couple feet from the center line...cracks me up that the bear decided to squat in the middle of the road.

My guess is the first is cougar..I am no expert though. I have read that coug crap is squared off on one end, twisted on the other...so it kind of matches up. But, that is just my humble guess. ;)

The one on top is a cougar.  Google "cougar scat" and you'll see a page of sh*t just like this.

The bottom one looks to be old rained out bear scat (berries).
