Thumbhole or Straight Stock
« on: August 18, 2013, 08:47:10 PM »
I've decided to pick up a new Bighorn, the question now is which stock to go with. Sportsman's Warehouse has the Thumbhole for $329.99 online with a discount code or I can get the Straight for $379.99 in the store. Which way would you guys go?

If you can, check both out in person, see how they fit and feel up against your shoulder, etc.  Best way to decide is hands on experience.

Does anyone know of a place that carries Knights closer to Bothell/Kenmore than Federal Way?

Both my Bighorn and my Vortek are right hand thumbhole stocks. I much prefer it to a straight stock. Seems to me I can hold it tighter and steadier to my shoulder.

I agree - I hated thumbhole, except on the range, never - ever thought I would hunt with one... But I do now and would not switch back - I could but really do prefer the TH...
