Now if this gets passed into law I think that I will have to go to the shelter and adopt a poodle.

The Senate Bill is a great step, but it still has to get through the House and then get signed by the Governor. Many phone calls will be needed to try and get it through the House.

Even if it does pass i don't think it's going to put a dent in established wolf packs. Poison bait, explosive bait, and aerial hunting was the only productive method in the past to control them :twocents:

Not gonna put a dent into em...not even close. Case and point...WDFW had "expert marksmen" on the ground for 39 days  (I think that is the #) and only killed 1 wolf from the wedge pack before taking to the air and killing the rest in under 1 week. Hate to say it but hunting is going to be a tall order to fully try and manage the wolves. Similar thing happend in the 1930's when the feds try to elimate the wolves...had to turn to poisoning. Hunting wolves is definately not shooting fish in a barrel.  Yet we still have a piece of crap wolf plan in place despite history showing how difficult they are to control. Seems like any person with half a brain who actually cares about the animal environment as a whole should put in place an agressive wolf plan simply based on how hard they are to magage.  This just pisses me off the more and more I think about it.....   :bash:

Make a difference or not.  It would still make me feel better to shoot one if it's killing livestock or a cherished part of the family  :bfg:  Heck, it would make me feel better to shoot one regardless.

I believe it is called the Smith Bill...sounds like it passed by a vote of 25-23 with mostly Republician support , and with senate majority leader Rodney Tom not voting . It heads next to the Democratic -controlled house !
