I down load mine to the rino, then Ive got the birds eye sat photos from garmin loaded on my sd card. That way when im out scouting I can zoom out a little and find meadows and such on the other side of the ridge from where Im at. Have found a few really sweet spots doing this... :IBCOOL:

Does anyone know if this map system shows DNR land ownership when you are hunting Weyerhaeuser's St. Helens Tree Farm?  I have the DNR paper map that shows what areas they own but it would be nice to have it show on my gps when I'm in the woods hunting.

Which state? You can get removable memory cards if your GPS accepts it. They show ownership but of coarse some ownerships change from time to time.

WA state.  I know they show private ownership but was just wanting to know if they show DNR land that is sparsely located in private timber company land.  You can't camp on weyerhaeuser land but legally you can camp on dnr land that is in the middle of the timber lands.

I am not going to say for sure but I know the ones I looked at that you can buy from Huntinfool show the difference.

Mine shows difference between logging companies, dnr, blm, nfs. Just about everything. You really cannot go wrong with the wa state specific setup. Worth every cent, but buy the download; you can look at the map on a full screen and really play with it on basecamp. I would be HIGHLY disappointed if I could only view on my little Oregon 450 screen.

Yes, exactly what I did last year.  We hunted and then at nightfall I looked on gps and drove to nearest parcel of state land and parked truck and camper for the night.  Built a campfire about 5ft away from weyco border one night as a tree blocked the road but I still could squeeze onto state land barely!  great legal way to do this!
MAGA!  Again..

Yes this map does show the DNR land that is sparsely located within the private timber companies land.  I had an argument with their security last year and was able to show him that I was located on State land and could legally camp where I was.  That alone made it worth the costs.

Thanks.  Just wanted to make sure it did before I spent the money for it.  I already have the 24K topo on my Garmin 60cs but this mapping software sounds like it is the one to have.

I got one as a gift..the WA/OR and ID sd card..I cannot for the life of me tell any difference in my gps as what in the hell $100 sd was suppose to show me.. looks no different and shows me nothing any different than what my Oregon 450 already did

The Wa/Or/Id chip Only has topo and public/private info. You want the Wa specific card as it has the platt (owners names) info.
:yeah:
Loaded the Washington only map into my Rino and was impressed when I dialed it down and saw my name and all my neighbors names for their properties

I do know that hancock Kapowsin passed a rule about public land within thier borders. The rules state you can only enter and leave the property through specific gates therefore if you go onto public property you are leaving the property thru an unauthorized area and can pull your pass. Some guys got a couple elk then transported them out thru thier property which caused the rule change. It is only time til Weyco does it. Not thread jacking just a little info.
