The Hunting GPS mapping software is worth every penny.

I have been using their maps for 3 years and like them a lot.  That said you can get just as good of a map for free from GPSFileDepot.com     I have used both and their is not much difference in the quality of the Topo map.  The only advantage to the Hunting GPS Maps is that the land ownership gets updated every year with new info, where as the land ownership map on GPSFileDepot is from 2011.  Used to even be able to get the GMU transparent overlay on GPSFileDepot but I think they changed the link to Hunting GPS Maps website.  If that is the case I have a copy of the GMU overlay I could email to you.  Just PM me your email address.

Ive had it for years and I prefer the down loaded version because they automatically update for free instead of having to send your card in for a fee.. 8)

The Wa/Or/Id chip Only has topo and public/private info. You want the Wa specific card as it has the platt (owners names) info.

so if you download the version to your gps do you ever put a chip in that has other maps to overlay on your gps from gpsfiledepot or anyhtign? or is that not needed? does the download version slow your gps at all or take up a lot of the memory?
