Are you looking at the map on a GPS or a computer?

I have it and really like it. got it at the suggestion of an employee of Wyoming fish & game in Cheyenne who said all of their officers use it to refute tresspass claims.
a friend and I zoomed in and navigated to his Mom's place and it didn't show her or anyone in the family as owners and she been on that particular place since '48. we wondered if they only get data on land that has changed hands recently :dunno:

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me

In King County, and around Seattle in particular parcels smaller than a certain size do not display ownership.

It probably has no impact at all on hunting opportunity because it only occurs in densely populated areas.

However, I've complained about it to Hunting GPS Maps. I encourage you to do so as well.

oh ok . i just checked and there was no update for my map. i just need to spend some more time with my gps and the maps to get more comfortable with them. is there anyone close who has the garmin gpsmap 62st that can give a good tutorial on best uses tricks/tips etc? was thinking about trying one of those REI classes but seems a little spendy and kinda basic.

I have the 62ST, I do not use a GPS to the full capabilities, I use Base Camp to mark any interesting hunting areas, then upload to my GPS those Way points.
I mainly use the track function, as a fail safe to find my way home, or back to my truck, LOL
One thing I do is change my track color, daily. Makes it easy to define each later.
Then I upload my tracks and any waypoints I have marked, back into Base Camp when I return. I am usually amazed at how little of an are gets covered, when it seems like I am humping all over the map.

I've been gone on vacation or would have responded earlier.  Thanks for the feedback and not throwing us under the bus right away.  Each county is different on how fast they update their data and I'm sure some mistakes are made by each county.  In general I know that we have the best data available to us.  We are currently updating the land ownership info for every county and should be releasing another update in about 1 month.  This is a major project for us and will hopefully get the map updated even more.  We will be adding Jefferson county so only Whitman and Asotin don't have land owner names.  I don't expect those to be available anytime soon due to the those counties not having the data.

Cheers,
Matt

Do you only have maps for Garmin? I just picked up a Magellan Explorist 310 (free with cc reward points)...
