Gate access for bear permits?
« on: March 13, 2013, 09:56:34 PM »
I've never drawn before. I have Monroe permit, and wandering if your givin keys to gates by state/ timber companies? I planned on just using Mtn. bike, but won't turn down a key to the gate. :)

You can pick up keys a few days before season starts at the DNR office in sedro woolley.  You will sigh a key agreement and leave a nice $100 deposit.   Bring id and your packet of info you get from wdfw.  Key will open most gates but not all.

I believe you will get a letter in the mail from WDFW notifying you of a meeting place and key agreements and keys will be there. This I heard is new for the Monroe hunt this year but has been in place for the Skagit hunt for a few years.

Yea they are combination locks. You would have to get that from the forest manager. I thought maybe they would also give us the combo for the spring seaon.

Mentioned this on the other three. Pre-meeting for Monroe holders in April 13 at WDFW in Mill Creek. Gate keys and maps will be distributed.  Also Timber Company Reps will be there, as long as WDFW and DNR reps.
