I was, I switched back to the shuttle-t's though. I still like the Magnus heads but I was having some bow troubles right before the 2011 season and my back up bow was set up for 100 grainers. I had some shuttle-t's layin around so I went with those. Did a number on last and this year's bulls, so I haven't felt the need to switch back.

You will be fine with the montec's. I ran them threw about 15+ animals with great luck. I am shooting the ultimate steel heads now and they have been doing well for me.

Hahahaha no way and i HIGHLY doubt that they would ever be. The people who make them do make broadheads loaded with size 7 steel balls like a shotgun AND ones that are scent loaded so you can shoot scents like estrus or w.e into your shooting lanes without leaving your human scent in that area. I do see those maybe being legal though. Would have to read the regulations real closely though. I dont see why the SCENT ones wouldnt be legal even as we speak. The steel shot ones ehhh thats iffy

Everyone seems to like the broadheads they shoot...  How about ones you don't recommend, and why?  I'm pretty new to the game, would like to hear about the ones to stay away from.

I used Montecs for quite a while but two years ago I switched to G5 Strikers. Two elk and a deer later and the blood trail is crazy compared with the montecs or the muzzys I had used a long time ago. I'm absolutely impressed with the strength, razor sharp blades, and the performance of the Strikers and don't plan on ever switching.

Dropped my first elk last season with a trophy taker shuttle t (with a 20 year old bow) so i'll be using them for a long long  time lol.
When you stick'em right, there is no blood trail, only a  puddle.
