I didn't make it up today, but a friend of mine did. He found some fresh bear crap in the area I'm hunting. It wasn't there 2 days ago when I was up there. So my scouting went pretty good today :chuckle:

How high up are you? A week in a half ago I scared one up at about 2000ft. It was a south facing slope, and on one of those really nice days we had. In the shaded areas there was 2+ feet of snow.

Spring Bear, special draw - Monroe Unit for these guys.

I didn't make it out, forgot my discover pass and didn't want to risk having to deal with a ticket.   >:(

Found 1 pile of poo and that was it.  We looked all around the area for more but nothing.  We were out all day and no other signs.

Just fine. Went out for a drive yesterday to just explore. Great weather, some nice views, and just cool overall to be off my feet and exploring.

Last year they didn't start getting real active until May.  This crazy weekend weather may have slowed the arrival of some.

Saw 21 elk, 2 moose, deer and a ghost. Good, but very weird scouting trip!
