LOL ya i figured that.. Way to much work to just give away your spot and way to many people to encourage anyone into going into areas you hunt.. Ill prob just spend my spring and summer tricking my wife into "hiking"and scout a bunch of areas.

Just a word to the wise about that area. Don't expect just a few hunters for the high hunt but alot. One of the most popular High Hunt areas in the GPW. Expect it to be a camping trip not a hunting trip and you will have fun.

Pack suitable cold weather gear.  The weather can change real FAST during the high hunt!   Sunny and 70's one day and freezing rain the next.   There are a few good basins tucked away you can still find as some of the main trails are getting more difficult due to blowdowns and brush discouraging SOME of the lazier hunters.   :chuckle:

What about if I went up and dis archery instead? Sept 1? Still be crowded?

Ya I plan on it being more of a camping trip, with a chance to get something.

Probably alot less hunters then but remember to get away from the trail as Sept is the favorite time for hikers to be out there and that is a popular spot.

You need to add some PETA and HSUS stickers to really be sure nobody knows you're a hunter.

add a "I voted for Obama" sticker to the back window, that will help.  JUST REMEMBER to scratch it off if you head to North Idaho.

I want my tires inflated when I get back to the trailhead.  I don't think I can sink that low to harvest a deer.
