Find berries in the hills outside of Sedro.

Problem solved.

Also, welcome to the site, but should contribute just a bit before asking for holes.

Happy Hunting.~

Bearhunter killed them all!!!

Go look at his threads, he's wacked a bunch of them.

Saylean is not bs-ing you, get up to where the berries are ripe this time of year. That will improve your odds.

Bear hunting is not that easy. The animals are usually solitary and spending good time in the field to understand them and to get lucky running across one helps. I got a tip that there was a bear hanging around the high slopes of Finney Peak this summer. Who knows if he moved on but it's all I got for ya.

Well Bobby I was hunting Bear last Saturday on a ridge coming off of Mt Baker "After a 3 hr hike" and the berries are ripe where I was at. :EAT: Basically I've been hiking my ass 2 or 3 hrs off the rd and climbing up to the meadows and I have been seeing some bears but havn't pulled the trigger yet,The Bears are there. Oh on a sidenote don't bump into a Cub like I did on Sat and have a Sow come  charging at me and didn't stop until she was 20' away. I had to fire a warning shot to get her to stop. :yike:

Sounds about right. Hard work and persistence. I'm sure you'll bring home a nice one. Good luck.

Anyhow there are a lot of animals up in your neck of the woods. It just takes sometime finding out where their hiding.

Welcom to the forums!  :hello:

And no..these guys aren't BS'ing you.
You're within a 20 minute drive of a half-dozen (or more) great areas that hold bear and are easily accessible. Just take a look at some maps, burn up a tank of gas, and wear out some shoe leather.

You'll have best luck if you find the berries...and get a little ways from the heavily pressured areas...and leave the truck behind.

Good luck!
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.

I've been religiously going out a certain main Skykomish fS road but have been striking out since early August, and I have been getting to the meadows, some great expansive meadows, but the sign is all old. Anyone willing to through me a bone via PM on a different road to check out off HWY2?

drive, go for a hike, get high up on them hills, find some berries, glass, shoot, pack.   seen 7 bears with my brother and his buddy last friday, 8 goats, and one deer. I shot a bear, about 150 lbs. pictures are on my brothers old camera the has film, not digital. so i probably won't get them until after he takes more pictures of dead stuff.

then my brothers buddy went the next day, a different spot, but did the same thing and seen 11 bears, and more goats.

Like i had posted last week they are simply OVER POPULATED.
more bear then deer this year. I hope everyone fills two tags on the wesr side or at least one and one.

Sounds like you live in one of the best units for bear, find berries.
