Sooo You rnext job is to bust out the scuba gear and find your line for the buoy? Hope you have a dry suit!
Yes, I've got a dry suit, however the buoy did not break off. I looked at it today and the buoy ring is still there. The original weld is broken (3/32" gap) but I don't know how my spring clip could have worked through it without leaving it stretched. Maybe my clip caught on the rope or something and opened up?
I see some good dents under the gas can. You almost got a new boat out of the deal. My friends did the same during a wind storm, but the sea sport didn't stand a chance with the rocks. His boat was busted up really bad.
The dents were preexisting to this incident.

I use that boat hard in all weather conditions, docks and trailers are often unforgiving. I've put 14,650 miles on that thing in the last 4 1/2 years.

Sea Sports are nice, but I have to often beach the boat, intentionally, and that really eats up keels as evidenced on my Trophy. I wouldn't buy anything but an aluminum boat for out here.
Wish I had left the motor down, I've never really liked that Honda... and it is insured.
