I'm too cheap :tung:  I bid on a few silent auctions but they went too high.  It was a great time.

The Montana Backcountry Outfitters hunt went for $5000 which was pretty good.

I won a sponsor gun Model 70 264 mag. My dad won the 17HMR at the draw poker game and my older brother got the Eberlstock pack and I bought a couple of things and drank way to many beers . Yes I had a DD ;)

The wife and I went to the one in Kitsap this past year. Beings that we were not a table sponsor or had a lot of greenbacks to throw around. We were kind of treated like crap, no seating or tables for non-sponsoring members, and when we did find a spot to eat at a table of extremely late showers. I was accused of stealing the knife that I received (for being a member) when I walked in the door by one of the late showers. After a lengthy discussion with this person I had to just walk away. (I don't enjoy being called a thief or a liar.) Had I not bought some raffle tickets I would have right then and there, but stayed till after the raffle.

Needless to say I WILL NEVER ATTEND another RMEF banquet again. In fact I am contemplating not to renew my membership.

Wow.... not sure what to say... I have never sat at a sponsor table and never had any problem finding a seat and I have went to 25+ banquets . Might try one of the small banquets or ? :dunno: I don't have alot of money to throw around but have won stuff over the years with raffle and bought stuff at silent auction always have had a good time and met lots of good people.
