" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

This is just a game they are playing.  If this is added, it doesn't pass, so take this out and that until they can hit the 60 votes they need.  We will loose some rights on this, it's just a matter of which ones and which ones will turn us into criminals.

Exactly, they dropped it because they know it wouldn't pass and some Dems in senate wouldn't vote for it either.  So, they will wait until after next years elections to make sure they don't loose more Dem seats in the Senate (i.e., Dems that voted for it in Repub states).  But, Obummer and his lap dog aren't going to give up that easy.  Stay vigilant and let you left leaning senators here in WA know we are against ANY additional 2nd amendment restrictions at every opportunity!

The more they lose, the less likely they are to stick their necks out again. The polls now say a majority of Americans are against further gun control. Only Feinkenstein will continue to push because she's crazy and has San Francisco behind her (so to speak).

Each and every person who called, sent emails, joined any of the gun groups, please reach around and pat yourself on the back.

We beat them on this one.

Now we must stay vigilant on all other attempts.

People in CA need to vote that wicked witch Feinstein out. There should be term limits for senators, enough is enough. Look at our two senators Murray/Cantwell nearly 20 years.

They will vote her out or not. It's the way of representative democracy. They seem to like what they have.

We haven't beat anyone............If one gun control law is passed, we lost ground and we are loosing until pro-gun laws are being passed... As posted previously, this is just part of the game.
(it was fun to see Feinstein gets pissed though!!)

It is not time to relax.  They are still trying to put everyone on a list  "universal background checks"...  which is worse than the assault weapons ban.

Obama himself has said it was worse....  but he said it slightly different than the way I put it.  He said it is more effective.

enough said.

Piers Morgan and Michal Moore are on the air whining about Harry Reid’s decision to drop the AWB.  They are asking their viewers to email Harry to get him to reconsider.  We should email him and express our views.

It gives the Democrats in states that are more pro gun something to vote against.  They can vote against the "assault weapons" ban (I cringe when I type that) so that they look awesome and then vote for some "less" stringent measures like universal background checks or magazine size restrictions.

It's all just a joke and part of politics.  Feinstein knew that what she was putting out there wasn't going anywhere from the very beginning but it's just a setup for what they CAN jam through Congress.

Piers Morgan and Michael Moore would have an ugly baby.

That really good news  This should start the downhill slide of prices back to where they should be on guns and ammo.

As was said before by someone else on this forum this gun ban stuff is political diversion(as important as it is), the real prize is more like : revenue hike, immigration reform minus stiff enforcement measures and a secured boarder, implementation of health care reform without further blowback etc. They new or suspected the second amendment was a looser a head of time. Don't get me wrong, I was getting a little nervous.

We'll see it again in 2015 or late 2014 when the Dems control both houses.
Not patting anyone on the back yet.

Hopefully the Dems will loose a bunch of seats, we'll see.   Lot of Maggy's out there.

Still time to fight them on the background checks, and magazine limits.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
