check out the ingredients, I bet one of the first ones is malto dextrin. you can get it at a brewery supply store for around 5 bucks a pound. its a key ingredient in all your canine sports supplements. I played around with it a few times after talking to my vet and I did notice that my dogs recovered a lot quicker after a hard hunt when I mixed it with their food and fed them within a half hour or so after excersising.

Being that far down the list, it's gotta be a pretty small amount.
Honestly I think that good conditioning makes more of an impact on a days hunt than these supplements.
I'm curious if anyone has tried Pedialite. It's cheap and that has been what I use when the dog is getting over exerted. It seems to help.
I've used unflavored pedialyte for vetrinary purposes,prescribed by the vet for dehydration due to the screaming squirts from drinking alkali tainted water in montana.They like it and it sure helps a dog that is feeling poorly,feel better.
