Doesn't have to be a 400' bull to be a trophy.  I found that out a couple years ago when I shot a spindly three point mule deer.  First one I'd ever shot, gut and packed out all by myself.  And he now hangs proudly on my wall (the antlers, anyways)

Very nice bull, and tell her she should be proud of it.

I love the look on her face in the first shot. I've seen that look from my wife, it means " I got up this early and were not shooting that one, yeah this is going to be fun"

Great looking bull.

Great bull for a first kill.  I get a bigger thrill helping someone new to the game fill their tag.  Long ago I helped my little sister get a cow elk during a late season.  Too bad permits are drawn with so many years in between.  She lost her interest in the hunting way of life.  Thanks for sharing Plague.
