Any WA MT Goat hunters with pics?

I use to hunt Mt Goats in this state 30 years ago. We did quite well. Just wondering if there is some nice one's left.

Wow, how often do they fall to their death?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

No I did not.
They fall to their death quite often I have found remains. It is there spongy hoof that is like the soft shoes rock climbers were.  They are after the trace minerals in the rock!

I believe that pound per pound they are a hard to kill as a grizzly. They have such a low metabolism and fearless courage when if comes to rock climbing. As why they look for danger below not often from above. Other then a Golden Eagle stealing a young un.

When you say used to hunt them 30 years ago, were the tags more available then? Over the counter or just easier to draw? That would be cool if you could dig up some of the old pics

More tags, more units, easier to draw (no internet). Never over the counter.

Unfortunately most of my earlier hunts we did not even carry camera's. I do not want to bost or did I ever enter it in Boon and C but my goat would make the book. I have a couple of old 35 mill film pics  when it was in the jeep...and have the beast on the wall. Maybe I will try and scan them and post. Please others that are out there share. I know some guys don't want to Show Off! But I would be interested what is out there these days.  We had to draw our tags. You could get drawn every year if I remember right. No one was hunting them in those days. We would hunt the goats and scout for high early buck.
Found the hunting to be as hard as Sheep hunting in the Brooks Range. And lost a lot of horns when the would fall off the cliffs.

Nice heavy Billy. Not to long but thick. Good job. Pelt looks nice also. Mind sharing how it was dispatched. Did it go down easy or hard?
