Some finished work...
« on: March 26, 2013, 11:21:42 AM »
These aren't for sale, these have already been spoken for.

Here's a couple knives I'm finishing up.

This one is quartersawn Cocobolo with Mammoth Ivory bolsters. The Ivory is pinned with red cedar, and the coco is pinned with brass. I will do the sheath on this one. Part of a trade for a vintage dirt bike!

This one is Brown Malee Burl with Elephant Ivory scrap bolsters. Pinned the same, red cedar in the ivory and brass in the burl. The buyer does his own leather work and will be sheathing this one himself.

And a sheath I did for an existing knife.

Got one or two still on the pegs, so I should have more show and tell soon!

Thanks for looking!

Those are very nice. Do you shape the steel or buy a blank?

I start with ats34 stainless flat stock, and D2 sawmill planer blades. Do my own grinding, heat treat, cryo, and finishing.
