I based my opinion on the way the front legs are positioned. To me they look a bit bow legged like a bear would be.

I don't see a cougar at all in the pics kola lighted up.  I still think its a bear.

I think it is a cat.  I believe the camera speed at night being slow caused the snout to blur as the cat was moving its head, thus making it look longer than it is.  You can see the eyes are elongated.
