I know in the past you could get a hunting license for one year without passing a hunter ed class.  Not sure what that program was called or if it still is in place or what you have to do to qualify to get the one year exemption.  But if you can do that you could apply for multi season now then get your hunter ed done later this year.
Sounds fishy.. anyone?
It's legit.

I've done it with 2 kids in the past. I sign as their leader or mentor or escort or whatever they call it. I had to stay within X distance of them and they could get hunting license and hunt. The 1st kid I went with, his dad was in Iraq and couldn't get him into hunters ed in time. He came home from overseas in September and I had the kid all dialed in and ready to hunt come October. I just had to be with him at all times. Whoever is the leader has to have had a hunting license for the last 3 consecutive years. His dad didn't buy a license the year he was in Iraq so I did it for them.

That was nice of you man. Kudos!

I'm not sure you really need to worry about deer and elk points for this year. You're only going to be archery hunting anyway, so drawing a permit isn't critical, unless you want to hunt bull elk on the east side. But it sounds like you'll be staying close to home. You'll be fine with just the general season hunts. Not that you don't want to start building some points. But I wouldn't go too much out of your way to try to do so.
I wanna head up by okanagen maybe. I wont be going too muchh further east than the cascades though. I just want multi deer and maybe the 3 deer tag. Not sure whats required i guess i should have specified.

A hunter with the deferral option is not eligible to apply for special permits.

Interesting, Ive never heard of this, but then again it would have to be a fellow bowhunter as I cant play with guns anymore. Ill have to look into it alittle. Anyone know the specific name or RCW in relation?
I'm curious since you mentioned this, and not to drift too far off topic.  But how does that affect completing the second part of hunter's ed.  Don't they gather a bunch of people up at a gun range and make you shoot?

The hunter ed teacher has to be willing to accomidate for it. They make you sign paperwork and they have other tasks for you.

Never thought of that but it sounds likely. I can handle and use/own airrifles, just nothing that is propelled by an explosive i.e. gunpowder.

You are not required to shoot a firearm to pass hunter education.

No need to hope. It's policy. If an instructor incorrectly requires firearm handling or shooting, I would suggest contacting WDFW in Olympia.

Roger that. So no shooting, no special tags, but I can start applying for my OILs, is the fishing wildid the same as hunting wildid?

You have one WILD ID for both hunting and fishing.

Another option is purchasing raffle tickets which can be done without a hunting license. The odds of drawing one are not a whole lot worse than applying for the best permits for deer, elk, and the OIL species.

Heres a thought if you haven't already done it, read the hunting regulations front to back. A lot of what is discussed on here will be revealed. I do this every year when the new ones hit the street, it's our responsibility as hunters to do so.

Plus it keeps one from being caught with their britches down in the field doing the wrong thing, and not knowing it!
