Is it really $58.08 for a pound of powder!? That's including the 27.50 haz mat fee and 9.99 for shipping.  What is this country coming to???

They have had that hazmat fee for a long time.  Sucks , but it is what it is.  I got lucky the other day and found a couple lbs of 22 at sportsmans.  Last two they had.

Yup best bet is to buy primers and powder locally, unfortunately.

Yeah, that fee was there for years.  Buy in bulk and it won't sting as bad.

If you take.out the 38$ shipping and hazmat its a 20$ lb of powder. Not bad price. That is why when I order powder I always buy 8-10 or more lbs. Makes the hazmat like our sales tax.

If you look around a bit, you can find group buys that work out to be a great deal...  At least when stuff is available. :'(

Three weeks ago I bought two LBS. of powder, Universal and Reloader 17. I paid $23 for the Universal and $22 for the Reloader 17. Bought them at Adventure Sports in Lynnwood.

Yeah I keep checking the local stores and buying what I need, it's just shocking at the price to buy a lb of powder online.  I don't need 10 lbs for my hunting rifle!!! Lol

Just get together with a couple of other shooters and do a bulk order. I ordered about 10 pounds from Powder valley and another 10 from Bruno's. The hazmat fees balance out after a couple pounds.

I read there is lot of people on this forum wanting to buy powder . I'd say one of you make a post where everyone can type how much powder they want and type and their location and maybe you guys can pool shipping and distribution  :dunno: Have no clue if they charge hazmat per order, box or what ....it may just come out OK .....so someone take the lead and try this .
Everyone thinks that I'm freak ,I don't look different do I ?

They must not ship UPS, here's their fee schedule below.

The HazMat fee tipically  covers 40 pounds. That includes powder and primers in the same package.
