Real good advise. Can Probably learn the same watching a couple videos for a lot cheaper. Definately agree that some people just don't have the artistic skill needed to be good at taxidermy. Thanks for the clarification.
Never stop preparing for next season.

Thanks for the advice. I also heard about an art institute in MT that dose a good course as well. Maybe ill have to do some more digging befor I confirm anything

Dedfinately check out as many as you can, If you can get referances you can talk to  do that also.  Good luck. Only you know what will work for you . Use the advice you get as a tool .

Bucklucky hit the nail on the head. I started out teaching myself, then after about 4 years I attended a school in Montana that covered everything from taking care of the animal to the business end of it. Then I took one on one class in New York with a really great taxidermist Bill Yox. As a taxidermist you will constantly be learning. I attend competitions and take any training I can do.like he said taxidermy is an art you owe it to the customer to make sure you put out something something that they will be happy to look at the rest of there life.
