Spicy pickled Quail eggs....Yummm
« on: March 28, 2013, 11:48:00 AM »
Well, I went to Small Woods (just outside of leavenworth) looking for a couple jars of my favorite jalapeno pickled eggs.   Just my luck they were out.  I did find a new item though and decided to try them.....Spicy pickled quail eggs, and they are DELICIOUS!! If you ever make it over these things are a must try.

Love pickled eggs. I'm just finishing off a big jar of them I made.

I've made these a bunch of times.

They are not as hot as one might suspect so don't scrimp on the peppers.  I'd skip the red bell pepper as it's a waste of time.

agreed 206, i never thought they helped pickling, but garlic and peppers (red) are a must for the serious flavor  . sounds good man i want some now!

If a guy doesn't want to start a new brine, I just throw a few boiled eggs in the dill pickle jar after I eat the pickles or at least when there gets to be some room for some eggs. Good enough for the average guy.
$5 is a lot of money if you ain't got it
