Depending on how long and hard you want to hike down on the Tatoosh Wilderness Trail is a good area to see some elk, and hiking around to the South end of Packwood lake is a good spot to see a good sized herd

pack wood is a good spot  but there have been lots up Hw 410   towards green water  out be hind the fire station

there were about 50 hanging out in the fields at the begginning of Teannaway Rd, all day yesterday  :tup:
I think last years fires have them confused,  :)  there 6 or 8 roaming in my back yard just off 97 all weekend.
