They taste better if you yell at them for two hours prior to butcher :chuckle:, that way you can taste the fear!

So Mr Remi Martin made me forget to take decent photos of cooking in action, but here's what I got so far.

I don't know what to call this dish in English, I guess could call it a stew??
In Armenian we call it, "Hashlama"   try to pronounce that  :chuckle:

Also at the very top of this photo you can see the stuffed grape leaves. Ground the meat by hand too, tastes better that way :), add spices, mix, stuff the leaves and cook, add sour cream on top to taste!!!

Grilled these up over charcoal. My favorite part of the lamb!!

Haha, never liked scaring the animals before butchering them.

are you talking dolmas?  if so good stuff, what kind of spices do you use?

YES!! Dolmas are what I'm talking about, where have you had some before?
We actually don't use too many spices: salt, pepper, cilantro, and a bit of rice. I can't remember anything else. My mother makes these, by Grandmas recipe :)

my moms side is assyrian, and we make them all the time , but shes vegetarian so she leaves the meat out. we use rice, parsley, onion, paprika, and a few other that i cant remember right now. ill have to add some ground meat of some sort next time. we also mix some minced garlic in the sour cream sometimes. good eating for sure!

Don't meet too many Assyrian people in WA. I have one Assyrian friend here.
You play chess or backgammon?  :)
