I was super drunk the night before I killed my first elk.

I was super drunk the night before I killed my first deer.  I had to stop puking long enough to shoot him!  :chuckle:

I always wait until the tags are full, and even then I dont tie one on the hard. Geeezzzz! :chuckle:

That was back in 1964--where were you in 1964??  :dunno:  :chuckle:

I was not of this world in 1964. :chuckle: Must have been quite a bit of fun on the eve of elk season 1964. Good times.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

There weren't any Elk where I shot my first deer.  There weren't any coyotes--there are now.  There weren't any Ticks--there are now.  There weren't any Moose--there are now.  Very few Bears--lots of them now.  It was definately a simpler time.  8)

Have you had ballistics done on that piece of shot yet?  Who ever shot this should get a fine of at least $1000.00 like it says in the waterfowl regulations.

Have you even called the police yet?   :dunno:

I have a friend that is personal friends with a game warden so I'm going to be contacting him today and telling him all the info and give him the piece of shot if he wants to test it.

You can't be serious?

Ya I am serious, it could have been someone in the same area I was hunting that shot it with lead, if not then no big deal. I guess I'm not one of those guys that thinks the game wardens are out there just trying to set people up to get busted.

so what do you hope to accomplish besides making a game warden laugh?

that duck could have come from anywhere, the game wardens (who are understaffed to begin with) aren't going to drop every thing and up patrols in hopes of catching someone doing a minor offense based off of the finding of one pellet... that may or may not be lead.

I occasionally find lead shot in my duck or goose breasts. Just figure they got shot at in Canada or Alaska where I think lead is still legal?  Or also thought maybe they were just shot at by some angry farmer trying to scare them out of his field with his trap loads. So yeah call the po po :chuckle:

MBTA or 1918 outlawed this.  Canada and AK cannot legally shoot lead shot while waterfowl hunting.

So what became of this?   Did the warden send anyone to the clink?
