Where were you hunting? Some parts of Wisconsin required killing a doe before you could kill a buck when I was there. I wish we had that burden here in WA.
All venison is good, but the best I've had was corn-fed Wisconsin whitetail.

It went well i ended up killing several deer 2 bucks and a couple does. i was hunting outside reedsburg and janesville you are right the whiteys there taste so much better then any deer ive had.

Blacktail, you have family back there?  We used to hunt Plainfield and my parents have a crapload of land up by Ladysmith in the NW.  They are also covered in bears these days, but it is hard to draw a tag.

I was able to shoot a deer back in 04 or so near Lodi on a CWD landowner tag, didn't even have to buy a hunting license.   :tup:

yes i have a cousin who has land there i like the area an the amount of game you see just looking for that big boy :chuckle :)
