Pipe in 3D target

I finally fixed my 3D elk. I got darn tired of ruining arrows with a perfect heart shot. I cut it open last nite with a sawzall and sure as chit, there's a piece of 3/4" emt(electrical metal tubing)right up the middle of the front legs and 8" up into the chest right where the heart would be. It has a dozen holes in the piece I removed plus a tip I left in once that I had to unscrew the arrow from.
Shrink wrapped it and re-foamed it last nite. Lookin good now.
Wouldn't ya think they'd have bent the emt to curve forward or stop it at the bottom of the chest? Anyhbow, now I can enjoy shooting it in the heart/lungs rather than aiming behind the shoulder.

I had a deer target like that.  I figured Easton must have given them some start up capital so they decided to help 'em out with arrow sales :chuckle:  After I broke about a half dozen arrows I never shot it again.  I left it out on our range when I would leave since the neighbor sneaks out and shoots my good targets with broadheads when I'm not there. >:(  When I came back a week or so later there were three broken arrows on the ground next to the target.  And when I tore it apart to throw it in the trash I found four Shuttle-T Lock broadheads in it. :o  That bass turd never shot broadheads into my 3-D targets ever again  :IBCOOL:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I think I'd be talking to my neighbor. Set up a trail cam and call the cops for trespassing, destruction of property. That'll cost him more than a few broadheads. Least he could do is ask and shoot field points.
