There are still root cellars being used today.   :chuckle:  I wonder just how many of the younger generation would not eat anything out of them if they were served something from them?

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Medicine woman's house, slave plantation. Only wood structure that still stands on this plantation from hundreds of years ago and hundreds of hurricanes...

The other night I tried to get an epic sunset shot of this old grain drill, well the sunset fizzled out on me (plus my skill set isn't in the 'epic' level either), but I still enjoyed a few minutes of peace and quiet while I took these pics looking away from the sunset.
