Little Pend Oreille Refuge
« on: April 09, 2013, 09:49:42 PM »
Just moved here from the southeast and looking for a decent spot to Turkey hunt. I understand that NE WA is the place to go. Anyone hunted the refuge? Is there a decent population of birds? My only experience is hunting Easterns. Any tips on Merriam's would be greatly appreciated!

It's not too bad of place, you should do fine there.

Used to do OK there, haven't encountered as many birds in the last few seasons. Cover lots of ground, run n gun.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

I hunt it every year past three. Never killed a bird there, but missed a nice one last year.
I was in birds every day last year.
Will be there may 6 for a week.
