I'm new to this site and to elk hunting.  I'm 34 and was born and raised in Toledo, WA.  Spent four years in the Army (light infantry) and I'm currently a mailman in Olympia.  I'm just a regular, conservative, republican, everyday family guy who is looking to partner up with some other hunters who wouldn't mind getting an elk camp together for the westside modern rifle season.  My coworkers are mostly bunny hugging liberals and the one guy there that does hunt already has a large elk camp (I was invited to join them but that is plan B for me if this doesn't work out).  I normally hunt with a muzzle loader but this year my vacation fell into the rifle season so that is what I'm doing (I'm muzzle loading for deer if anyone is interested in that).  I'm open to teaming up with some new hunters as long as you are safe and ethical.  I don't have a honey hole or even an idea where to go but I've hunted around Toledo, Elma, and the Lincoln Creek area outside of Centralia. For me this is a learning year.  I got hooked on this site when I saw the trail camera pictures, I'm pretty sure that is what I'm getting for my birthday, I can't wait.  Well if anyone is interested lets put something together.  This is my first post so any advice from the veteran members would be appreciated.  Thanks.  DJ

Can't help you with elk hunting(baby due right inn the middle of elk season) but would be interested in muzzle hunting deer in the late season. This will be my first year using a muzzleloader. I've been light infantry for 9 years untill I got to Ft Lewis, been in a Stryker Bde since 2002. I was plaaning to hunt on post but would be open to anything. PM me if interested.
