We put a serious scare in some this AM, but no triggers were pulled.  I've watched this flock for 3 months and today they decide to head a different direction than they took every other day.  We tried to outflank them, but bumped them instead.  We tried again, but were chased off by rain.  Tomorrow perhaps....

We had scouted for 2 days and thought we had our plan for getting bow boy his first archery gobbler.  Not to be, yet.  Other hunters showed up at our spot and threw us a curve ball.  We have regrouped and will give it another try Sunday morning.  We are still having a great time.  Only had one tick stuck into me yesterday when I forgot to use my clothes that I used tick spray on.  Today no ticks.

Best laid plans of mice and men...  We were all set up to go (limited funds) but I was going to make it work.  I was taking my 14 yo daughter out.  When I went to check the fluids in the truck I found that my serpintine belt was split in two.  Not that big of a deal to fix but remove some funds for trip.  Still good to go but then my daughter decides that she wants to go see Jurasic Park in 3D at the theater instead of hunting.  Still can make it work but then my older daughter has a fit because I am not taking her (I just spent $300 for her to go to an anime convention last week)  then Mom steps in and tells me that the trip is off :bash:  She tells me I can take them bothout later on during the general season >:(
