Youth season question?
« on: April 07, 2013, 09:21:25 AM »
Can the youth hunters take 2 birds during youth season? Of course two tags are needed. My son got one yesterday, and wants to hunt today. Couldn't find anything in the regs.

I wondered the same. The kids can only shoot one back in Missouri, so that is what we are used to. Several people told us WA could only shoot one, but I couldn't find that any where in the regs, or under the WAC code... so I assume they can shoot two.

Here's what I found in the regs:

A total of three (3) turkeys in the spring season with following
restrictions: Only two (2) turkeys may be taken in eastern Washington
and only one (1) of those may be taken in Chelan, Kittitas, and
Yakima counties (combined); only one (1) turkey may be taken in
western Washington per year outside of Klickitat County. Two (2)
turkeys may be taken in Klickitat County.
